Bio:

Lady Berthe is Sir Pippin’s cousin, born the same year as he. She was married off to the evil Sir Isembard three years ago, and his paranoia and possessiveness led him to imprison her in the dungeon beneath his manor at St. Hubertus.

Isembard was killed in 769 by Sir Girart, leaving Berthe the mistress of the hall, which she holds as an allod in addition to two demesne manors that came with her dowery, making her a wealthy and much-desired heiress in the Duchy.
